Masked priming in the Bayesian Reader
A Macquarie University Research Excellence (MQRES) scholarship is available in Psychology for a PhD investigating “Masked priming in the Bayesian Reader” in association with an Australian Research Council-funded research project. The successful candidate will join a research team investigating the nature of non-conscious information processing using the masked priming procedure.
MQRES scholarships are available to domestic or international students. Applicants should have equivalent research qualifications to an Australian undergraduate degree with first class honours (such as a Masters degree with a substantial thesis component) in a relevant discipline (such as Cognitive Psychology). Candidates who have experience with RT methodology and visual word recognition are particularly encouraged to apply.
The scholarship pays a living allowance, currently $20,007 per annum, tax exempt (2008), and the tenure is a maximum 3.5 years full time, subject to satisfactory progress. Tuition fees will be funded for the scholarship tenure. Additional support for projects and travel will be available from the Department of Psychology.
